Hyderabad police have intensified surveillance around Uppal Stadium following reports of black-market IPL ticket sales ahead of Sunrisers Hyderabad’s final league-stage match. The Special Operations Team (SOT) has launched a focused crackdown after identifying individuals allegedly selling tickets at highly inflated prices near the stadium premises. According to officials, tickets originally priced at Rs.1,500 were reportedly being sold for more than Rs.8,000 in the black market.
Police teams have been patrolling the stadium surroundings and monitoring suspicious activity as several youths were allegedly found roaming around and illegally selling tickets to cricket fans. Acting on the instructions of Hyderabad Police Commissioner C.V. Anand and senior officials, authorities are closely tracking black-ticket networks to prevent exploitation of fans ahead of the high-voltage SRH fixture. Security and surveillance around the stadium have also been tightened to control unauthorised ticket sales and crowd-related issues.
