Pakistan Champions have withdrawn from the ongoing World Championship of Legends Season 3 after the Pakistan Cricket Board refused to issue the required No-Objection Certificates (NOCs) to the team’s players. The team had been in discussions with the PCB over its participation, but the standoff remained unresolved. The WCL will now continue with six teams.
The dispute dates back to last year’s edition, when India Champions declined to play their scheduled matches against Pakistan Champions. Pakistan Champions eventually reached the final but lost to South Africa Champions, finishing as runners-up for the second consecutive edition. The latest withdrawal means the scheduled India-Pakistan Champions clash in the current season will also not take place.
