The Norway Football Federation (NFF) has announced that all profits from ticket sales of its 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Israel will be donated to humanitarian relief efforts in Gaza. Along with additional funding from the federation's budget and an anonymous donor, the initiative has raised around 4.5 million Norwegian kroner. The funds will be donated to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) to support emergency medical care in Gaza.
NFF President Lise Klaveness said the decision was made in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, stressing that the federation could not remain indifferent to the suffering of civilians. The move has drawn mixed reactions, with many praising it as a humanitarian initiative, while some Israeli football officials argued that victims of the October 7, 2023, attacks also deserve equal attention.
