England all-rounder Sam Curran has stated that there are no hidden strategies between India and England as the two teams prepare to face each other in the T20 World Cup semi-final for the third consecutive time. Speaking ahead of Thursday’s clash at the iconic Wankhede Stadium, Curran expressed confidence in England’s chances of reaching the final. He noted that both teams are well aware of each other’s strengths and weaknesses, largely due to extensive interactions in international cricket and the Indian Premier League. According to him, familiarity with the ground conditions and dressing room environment at Wankhede gives England added confidence.
Curran also recalled a stunning knock by Abhishek Sharma, who smashed 135 runs off just 54 balls against England at the same venue earlier this year. While admitting that England hopes to prevent a repeat of such an innings, he affirmed that the team has devised specific plans to counter the Indian batter. Emphasizing the competitive edge of the contest, Curran said both sides understand each other thoroughly, leaving little room for surprises in this high-stakes encounter.
