The 2nd ODI between India and New Zealand was played at Rajkot on January 14. New Zealand won the match by 7 wickets, leveling the 3-match series 1-1. Winning the toss, New Zealand chose to bowl first.
In India’s innings, KL Rahul played a brilliant century (112 runs), giving his team a respectable total. Chasing 285, New Zealand was led to victory by Daryl Mitchell’s unbeaten century, with excellent support from Will Young and Glenn Phillips.
With this match, Virat Kohli became the highest run-scorer for India in ODIs against New Zealand, surpassing Sachin Tendulkar’s record of 1,750 runs. The series-deciding 3rd ODI will be played on January 18 at Holkar Stadium, Indore, starting at 1:30 PM.
