Three matches of the Women’s Premier League (WPL) 2026, scheduled to be held in Navi Mumbai from January 14 to 16, will be played behind closed doors. The organizers have confirmed that these matches will take place without spectators in the stadium.
The decision has been taken due to local elections in the region, which require extensive police deployment for security duties. As a large number of police personnel will be engaged in election-related responsibilities, authorities have decided not to allow spectators for these matches. Consequently, the three WPL 2026 games in Navi Mumbai will be conducted without public attendance.
