With the five-match T20 series between South Africa and India set to begin today (9.12.2025) in Cuttack, all eyes are on star pacer Jasprit Bumrah, who is on the verge of creating a unique milestone. Bumrah, who currently has 99 wickets in T20 internationals, needs just one more scalp to complete a rare T20I century. If he takes that one wicket tonight, he will become the first Indian bowler to claim 100 wickets in all three international formats combined — Tests, ODIs and T20Is.
Statistics speak for Bumrah’s dominance across formats. He has already crossed the 100-wicket mark in Tests with 234 wickets from 52 matches and has taken 149 wickets in 89 ODIs. With 99 wickets in T20Is, the pacer is just a step away from another major achievement. Although Arshdeep Singh has already crossed 100 wickets in T20Is, Bumrah remains the only Indian who is on course to achieve the 100-wickets mark in each of the three formats.
