IPL Slaps Hefty Fine on Abhishek Sharma

Abhishek Sharma, a player for Sunrisers Hyderabad, has been fined by the Indian Premier League authorities. In addition, one demerit point has been added to his disciplinary record. The action was taken after he expressed strong dissatisfaction over a catch during the match against Kolkata Knight Riders and was found to have used inappropriate language.

As a result, 25% of his match fee has been deducted. The penalty was imposed for breaching Article 2.3 of the IPL Code of Conduct, according to officials.
