Australian all-rounder Cameron Green attracted massive attention at the IPL mini auction, with Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) securing him for a huge ₹25.20 crore bid. Starting from a base price of just ₹2 crore, intense bidding between franchises pushed his value to remarkable heights, making it one of the standout moments of the auction.
However, under the BCCI’s new maximum fee rule for overseas players, Cameron Green’s personal earnings are capped at ₹18 crore. The remaining ₹7.20 crore will be directed to the Player Welfare Fund. This new regulation aims to promote long-term player welfare while maintaining balance and sustainability within the IPL ecosystem.
