Gujarat Titans produced a commanding all-round performance to defeat Sunrisers Hyderabad by 82 runs in the IPL 2026 clash held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. After losing the toss and batting first, Gujarat Titans posted a strong total of 168/5. Opener Sai Sudharsan anchored the innings brilliantly with 61 runs, while Washington Sundar smashed a quickfire 50 off just 28 balls to give the innings a powerful finish. Although Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up two wickets for SRH, the remaining bowlers struggled to contain Gujarat’s batters.

Chasing 169, Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a disastrous batting collapse and were bowled out for just 86 runs. The Gujarat bowlers dominated from the beginning, reducing SRH to a crisis situation during the powerplay itself. Star batters Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma failed to make an impact, putting Hyderabad under immense pressure. Kagiso Rabada starred with three wickets, while Jason Holder and Rashid Khan claimed two wickets each to seal a massive victory for Gujarat Titans.
With this emphatic win, Gujarat Titans further strengthened their No.1 position on the points table, while SRH now face a must-win situation in their remaining matches to stay alive in the playoff race.
