The 19th edition of the Indian Premier League has recorded phenomenal viewership numbers despite the recent election buzz across the country. IPL 2026 has now become the most-watched season in the tournament’s history, with massive growth witnessed on both television and digital platforms. JioHotstar revealed that the league crossed 1.1 billion views across TV and digital mediums, while television viewership alone touched the 500 million mark.

Jio also reported a 15 percent growth in digital consumption, while watch time increased by 7 percent. Regional language viewership witnessed a remarkable 42 percent rise this season. With the playoff race becoming more intense and exciting, experts believe the numbers are expected to grow even further in the coming weeks. JioStar Sales Head Anup Govindan stated that fans continue to support IPL 2026 in huge numbers and the platform remains committed to delivering the best viewing experience. The current data was recorded until Match 51, while 58 matches have already been completed in the league stage.
