

Great news for MS Dhoni fans! The legendary cricketer has started his practice sessions for the upcoming IPL 2026 season. Dhoni was seen batting in the nets with pads on his legs at a ground in Ranchi. The Jharkhand Cricket Association shared the video on social media with the caption: "MS Dhoni, a pride of Jharkhand Cricket, is back!"
At 44, Dhoni is preparing for his 19th IPL season. He will play for Chennai Super Kings under young captain Ruturaj Gaikwad. Fans are excited to see him hit big innings again, following his impressive finishing in the last season. So far, Dhoni has scored 5,439 runs with 24 half-centuries in 278 IPL matches.
IPL 2026 will begin on October 26. Dhoni has been with Chennai Super Kings since 2008. His connection with CSK is more than just a contract - it’s a 15-year-long special bond. He led CSK to five IPL titles in 2010, 2011, 2018, 2021 and 2023.
