Sunrisers Hyderabad franchise once again overlooked players from Hyderabad in the IPL auction on Tuesday. Despite being a Hyderabad-based team, the franchise did not select even a single local player from the city, which has sparked criticism among cricket followers.
Instead, Sunrisers Hyderabad chose seven uncapped Indian players, leaving many surprised by the exclusion of Hyderabad talent. Fans and cricket circles questioned the decision, especially considering the strong performances delivered by several local players in recent domestic tournaments.
Players such as Tanay Thyagarajan, Rakshith Reddy, Aaron Jairaj, Rahul Buddhi, Manish Reddy, Nishanth Saranu, Alaaf, and Nithin Sai were in contention during the auction. However, none of these Hyderabad players were picked by Sunrisers Hyderabad, leading to disappointment among supporters.
