

India registered a commanding 7 wicket victory over New Zealand in the second T20I at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium in Raipur. Powered by explosive knocks from Ishan Kishan and captain Suryakumar Yadav, India chased down the target of 209 runs in just 15.2 overs, taking a 2 - 0 lead in the five-match series.
Batting first after losing the toss, New Zealand posted 208 for 6 in 20 overs. Rachin Ravindra scored 44, while skipper Mitchell Santner remained unbeaten on 47. Kuldeep Yadav starred with the ball for India, picking up two crucial wickets to check the scoring rate.
In the chase, India lost early wickets but Ishan Kishan smashed 76 off 32 balls, while Suryakumar Yadav played a captain’s knock with an unbeaten 82 off 37 balls. Their big third-wicket partnership turned the game decisively in India’s favour. Shivam Dube finished the chase in style. Notably, this match marked India’s 100th T20I at home.
