India enjoyed a golden day at the Asian Games as its compound archers swept all three team gold medals, while Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai added another gold in the mixed trap event. Telangana’s Taniparthi Chikitha was part of two gold-winning teams, while Andhra Pradesh’s Jyothi Surekha Vennam also contributed to India’s archery success.
The four gold medals helped India strengthen its position in the medal standings. India’s overall tally reached 60 medals, including 10 gold, 21 silver and 29 bronze, placing the country eighth in the standings. India also added three bronze medals during the day.
