

In the second T20 match against Sri Lanka Women held in Visakhapatnam, Team India delivered an outstanding performance, securing a commanding seven-wicket victory. Chasing a target of 129 runs, India completed the task comfortably in just 11.5 overs, underlining their dominance. Shafali Verma was the star of the match, remaining unbeaten on 69 off 34 balls, which included 11 fours and a six. She was well supported by Jemimah Rodrigues, who scored 26 runs, Smriti Mandhana with 14, and Harmanpreet Kaur with 10 runs.
With this win, India extended their lead to 2–0 in the five-match T20 series. Earlier, in the opening T20 as well, Team India had successfully chased down a target of 122 runs in just 14.4 overs. The quicker chase in the second match further highlighted the team’s strong form and batting depth.
Having produced clinical run chases in both matches, the Indian team is moving forward with growing confidence. The third T20 of the series is scheduled to be played on Friday, December 26, at 6:30 PM, and it has already generated considerable excitement among fans.
