

The BCCI has announced separate India U19 squads for the upcoming home series against Australia U19, comprising three ODIs and two multi-day matches. The ODI team will be led by Lakshya Roychandani, with Yashvardhan Chauhan named vice-captain, while Chauhan will captain the multi-day side and Roychandani will serve as his deputy. The three ODIs and the first multi-day match will be played in Rajkot, while the second multi-day game will be held at B Ground in Ahmedabad.
The ODI squad features Aryaveer Sehwag, son of former India opener Virender Sehwag, and Anvay Dravid, son of former India captain and batting great Rahul Dravid. Aryaveer, a right-handed batter, has earned his maiden India U19 call-up after impressing in domestic cricket, including a 297-run knock against Meghalaya in the 2024 Cooch Behar Trophy. Anvay, a wicketkeeper-batter, also impressed during India U19’s Sri Lanka tour with a crucial 87. Both youngsters have been included only in the ODI squad and will not feature in the multi-day team.
