

India will begin its campaign in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup with a high-voltage clash against Pakistan on June 14, as the International Cricket Council unveiled the tournament schedule on Tuesday. Hosted by England, the global event will be held from June 12 to July 5, featuring 12 teams divided into two groups. India has been placed in Group 1 alongside Pakistan, Australia, South Africa, Bangladesh, and the Netherlands. The tournament opener will see hosts England face Sri Lanka at Edgbaston on June 12, while the much-anticipated India-Pakistan encounter will also be played at the same venue.
Following the opening match, India will face the Netherlands on June 17, South Africa on June 21, Bangladesh on June 25, and defending champions Australia in its final group-stage match on June 28. The top two teams from each group will qualify for the semifinals scheduled for June 30 and July 2. The grand final will take place at the iconic Lord’s Cricket Ground on July 5, promising a thrilling conclusion to the prestigious tournament.
