

India’s unbeaten run at the Under-19 Asia Cup 2025 came to a disappointing end in the final, as they suffered a heavy defeat against Pakistan. Outplayed in all departments, India lost the title clash by a massive 191-run margin. Chasing a daunting target of 348, Team India were bowled out for 156 in just 26.2 overs, with Deepesh Devendran (36) emerging as the top scorer despite batting at No. 10.
At one stage, India were reeling at 120 for 9, but Deepesh’s resistance helped the total cross 150. Vaibhav Suryavanshi (26), Khilan Patel (19), Aaron George (16), and Abhignyan Kundu (13) were the only batters to offer brief resistance. Pakistan’s bowling attack was led by Ali Raza, who claimed four wickets, while Mohammad Sayam, Abdul Subhan, and Huzaifa Ahsan picked up two wickets each.
Earlier, after winning the toss and opting to bat, Pakistan posted an imposing 347 for 8 in 50 overs. Opener Sameer Minhas starred with a magnificent 172, completely dominating the Indian bowlers, while Ahmed Hussain (56) provided solid support with a half-century. For India, Deepesh Devendran picked up three wickets, while Henil Patel and Khilan Patel claimed two wickets apiece.
