Indian players Mayank Chakraborty and Pratitee Bordoloi clinched titles at the Asian Junior Chess Championship with impressive performances. In the boys' classical section, Mayank drew his final-round game and finished with 7.5 points to emerge as champion. Russia's Artim Pinzin secured the silver medal, while India's Daksh Goyal won bronze.
In the girls' classical section, Pratitee also drew her final-round game and claimed the gold medal with 7.5 points. Maria Kholyavko of Kazakhstan took silver, while India's Nivedita secured bronze. Telugu players Sharanya and Advait finished sixth in their respective categories.
