India registered a dominant eight-wicket victory over New Zealand in the third T20 International, chasing down a target of 154 runs in just 10 overs with the loss of only two wickets. With this emphatic win, Team India sealed the five-match T20I series 3–0, with two matches still remaining. Abhishek Sharma played a breathtaking knock of 68 not out off 20 balls, smashing seven fours and five sixes, while captain Suryakumar Yadav dazzled with 57 not out off 26 balls. Ishan Kishan added quick runs with 28 off 13 deliveries, providing strong momentum at the top.

Despite losing a wicket on the very first ball, India raced to 49 runs in three overs, thanks to the aggressive batting of Abhishek and Ishan. Abhishek reached his half-century in just 14 balls, while Suryakumar brought up his fifty in style, finishing the match with a boundary. The unbeaten duo added 100 runs for the third wicket in just 40 balls. Earlier, New Zealand posted 153 for 9 in 20 overs after being put in to bat. Glenn Phillips (48) top-scored, with support from Mark Chapman (32) and Mitchell Santner (27). Among Indian bowlers, Jasprit Bumrah (3/17) starred with the ball and was named Player of the Match. The fourth T20I will be played on January 28 in Visakhapatnam.
