India added another gold medal to its tally at the 2026 Asian Games, with Neeru Dhanda and Kynan Chenai clinching the top spot in the mixed team trap shooting event. The Indian pair produced a record-breaking performance in the final, scoring 34 points. Qatar won silver with 32 points, while China secured bronze with 23.
The victory took India’s gold medal tally to nine at the Asian Games. It was also India’s first gold in the mixed team trap event at these Games. For Neeru Dhanda, the achievement marked her second gold medal in as many days, following her individual trap gold.
