In a dramatic Hong Kong Cricket Sixes 2025 Pool C encounter, India defeated Pakistan by just 2 runs (DLS method) to claim their first win of the tournament. The match, led by Dinesh Karthik’s India, was interrupted by rain, which ultimately played a key role in deciding the winner.
Batting first, India posted a competitive 86/4 in six overs, with Robin Uthappa top-scoring with a fiery 28 off 11 balls. Pakistan were cruising at 41/1 after three overs before rain forced the game to halt. The DLS method was then used to determine the result.
All-rounder Stuart Binny’s tight second over, where he picked up a wicket and conceded just seven runs, proved to be the turning point. The narrow win gave India a crucial early lead in the group, while Abbas Afridi’s Pakistan suffered their first defeat of the tournament.
