India A will face Bangladesh A in the first semi-final of the Asia Cup Rising Stars 2025 on Friday in Doha, with attention firmly on young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi. The 14-year-old has been in tremendous form, becoming the second-highest run scorer of the tournament with 201 runs, including a stunning century and a brisk 45. However, India A will hope for stronger support from their top order, as players like Jitesh Sharma, Naman Dhir, Priyansh Arya, and Nehal Wadhera are yet to deliver consistently.
While the batting unit has been uneven, India A’s bowling has been exceptional throughout the tournament. Gurjapneet Singh continues to dominate as the leading wicket-taker, supported well by left-arm spinner Harsh Dubey and leg-spinner Suyash Sharma. Dubey has also impressed with the bat, scoring a crucial half-century. Their collective performance has been a major reason behind India A’s strong run to the knockout stage.
The semi-final will be played on Friday, November 21, at 3 PM at the West End Park International Cricket Stadium in Doha. If India A win and Pakistan A defeat Sri Lanka A in the second semi-final, the tournament will witness a highly anticipated India vs Pakistan final on Sunday, setting the stage for an electrifying showdown between the rivals.
