India were bowled out for 462 runs in the first innings of the Test match against Sri Lanka. The Indian team added only two runs to its overnight total before losing its final wicket. Prasidh Krishna was dismissed in the very first over, bringing India’s innings to an end.
Devdutt Padikkal was the star with the bat, scoring a brilliant century and finishing with 167 runs. KL Rahul contributed 82 runs, while Dhruv Jurel scored 51 to complete their half-centuries. Sri Lankan spinner Prabath Jayasuriya was the pick of the bowlers with four wickets.
