The second Test between India and Sri Lanka in Colombo ended in a draw, handing Team India a 1-0 series victory. India declared their first innings at 503/9 before bowling Sri Lanka out for 290. The hosts were asked to follow on and fought back strongly in their second innings, reaching 429/9 by the end of the final day to secure a draw.

Devdutt Padikkal emerged as one of India’s biggest stars of the series. The young batter scored centuries in both the Galle and Colombo Tests and played a crucial role in India’s series triumph. He was named Player of the Match in the first Test and went on to win the Player of the Series award. His consistent batting performances made him the standout performer for India.
