India and South Africa are set to clash in the 3rd T20 International of the five-match series on Sunday at the HPCA Stadium, Dharamsala. After a commanding 51-run victory in the second T20I at Mullanpur, Aiden Markram-led South Africa will look to take a crucial lead in the series. India, captained by Suryakumar Yadav, will aim to bounce back strongly after their worst-ever home defeat in T20Is.
India’s batting struggled badly in the previous match while chasing a stiff target of 213 runs. The poor form of captain Suryakumar Yadav and vice-captain Shubman Gill has raised concerns. Adding to India’s worries, the pace attack led by Jasprit Bumrah and Arshdeep Singh failed to contain the South African batters. The team management will hope the loss in Mullanpur was just a one-off setback.
Predicted Playing XI
India: Abhishek Sharma, Shubman Gill, Suryakumar Yadav (c), Tilak Varma, Hardik Pandya, Shivam Dube, Jitesh Sharma (wk), Axar Patel, Jasprit Bumrah, Varun Chakaravarthy, Arshdeep Singh
South Africa:
Reeza Hendricks, Quinton de Kock (wk), Aiden Markram (c), Dewald Brevis, David Miller, Donovan Ferreira, George Linde, Marco Jansen, Corbin Bosch, Lungi Ngidi, Ottneil Baartman
