India Women have stamped their authority with bat and ball, winning the first two T20Is convincingly to take a 2–0 lead over Sri Lanka Women. With three matches remaining in the five-match series, India are keen to seal the series in the third T20 at Thiruvananthapuram.
After back-to-back wins in Visakhapatnam, India head into the third match in strong form. The bowlers have been outstanding, restricting Sri Lanka to modest totals of 121 and 128 in the opening games. Spinners and pacers have combined effectively, making run-scoring difficult for the opposition.
The return of Deepti Sharma is expected to further strengthen India’s bowling unit. On the batting front, India will look for a big innings from Smriti Mandhana, while Jemimah Rodrigues and Shafali Verma continue to impress with their consistency. Sri Lanka, meanwhile, will be hoping to keep the series alive, though history favours India in this contest.
