

The International Cricket Council has clarified that there is no specific security threat to the Bangladesh national cricket team during their tour of India, following a detailed security assessment. The ICC stated that all necessary evaluations have been carried out and adequate safety measures are in place, putting to rest concerns surrounding the Bangladesh team’s security arrangements in the country.

Meanwhile, the ICC has officially announced the groups for the ICC Men's Under-19 World Cup 2026, scheduled to be held from January 15 to February 6 in Zimbabwe and Namibia. India have been placed in Group B alongside Bangladesh, New Zealand, and the USA, while Australia, Ireland, Japan, and Sri Lanka form Group A. England, Pakistan, Scotland, and Zimbabwe are in Group C, with Afghanistan, South Africa, Tanzania, and West Indies competing in Group D, setting the stage for an exciting youth tournament.
