The ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2027 ticket ballot has attracted an extraordinary response from cricket fans around the world. According to the reported figures, a total of 15,083,752 ticket applications were submitted within the first 12 days, with approximately 4.42 million people registering from 142 countries. The sharp rise in applications highlights the global interest in the tournament, which will be jointly hosted by South Africa, Zimbabwe and Namibia. The 14th edition of the men’s ODI World Cup will return to Africa after a gap of nearly 24 years. ICC CEO Sanjog Gupta attributed the strong response to the tournament’s significance and the promotional efforts surrounding the event.
The ballot registration process will remain open until 11:59 p.m. on November 21, 2026. Registration is free, and fans can submit one application per match for multiple matches. Tickets will not be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Instead, a lottery system will be used to select applicants for high-demand matches, giving eligible applicants an equal opportunity regardless of when they register during the open window. Successful applicants will receive an email explaining how to purchase their allocated tickets, while unsuccessful applicants will also be notified. The tournament is scheduled to begin on October 2, 2027, in Windhoek, Namibia, with the final expected to take place at Johannesburg’s Wanderers Stadium.
