Rajasthan Royals secured a convincing 30-run victory over Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium in IPL 2026, confirming their place in the playoffs. Batting first, Rajasthan struggled initially but managed to post a strong total of 206 runs through a collective team effort.
When the top order failed, Jofra Archer stepped up with a quickfire 32 runs off just 15 balls, helping Rajasthan reach a competitive score. He later delivered an outstanding bowling performance by taking three crucial wickets and played a major role in the team’s victory. Archer was awarded the ‘Player of the Match’ for his all-round contribution.
After the match, Rajasthan captain Riyan Parag revealed that he was not fully fit but decided to play considering the importance of the game in the playoff race. He said he trusted Archer to dismiss Hardik Pandya and promoted him in the batting order because of his ability to hit big shots. Parag also admitted that Rajasthan lost a few matches they should have won earlier in the tournament.
