

Hyderabad Heroes emerged as the champions of Season 2 of the HSBC Rugby Premier League after defeating Mumbai Dreamers 41-17 in the grand finale at Gachibowli Stadium, Hyderabad. With a commanding performance in front of the home crowd, Hyderabad secured the championship trophy along with a prize money of ₹45 lakh, while runners-up Mumbai Dreamers received ₹25 lakh. The closing ceremony was attended by Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, actor Chiranjeevi, Olympian PV Sindhu, actress Mrunal Thakur, Rugby India President Rahul Bose and several dignitaries.

Hyderabad dominated the contest with disciplined defence and clinical finishing throughout the match. The team capitalised on key scoring opportunities to build a comfortable lead before sealing an emphatic victory. In the third-place playoff, Bengaluru Bravehearts defeated Chennai Bulls 22-19 to claim ₹15 lakh. Organisers also hailed the successful launch of the women's competition, calling it another milestone in the growth of rugby in India.
