

Hyderabad Black Hawks have announced their evolution into Telugu Black Hawks, marking a new chapter for the franchise that aims to connect volleyball communities across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, as well as the global Telugu diaspora. Hyderabad will continue to remain the franchise’s home and an important part of its identity. Over the past four years, the team has worked to promote volleyball through tournaments, clinics, open trials, camps and grassroots initiatives across both states.
As part of its next phase, Telugu Black Hawks plans to further focus on grassroots development, academies, school programmes, coaching, talent identification and competitive opportunities. The franchise has also strengthened its squad for PVL Season 5, which will be held in Ahmedabad. At the players auction in Goa, the team signed Tanish Choudhary for ₹14 lakh, Vinit Kumar for ₹8 lakh, Mouhsin PA for ₹5 lakh, Hari Prasad B S and Deepak for ₹3 lakh each, while retaining Niyas Abdul Salam for ₹4 lakh through the Right to Match option. The squad also includes Mettu Siril Reddy, Namith MN, Shikhar Singh, John Joseph, Deepu Venugopal and Preet Karan.
