Team India is set to tour New Zealand this October, with a total of 12 matches scheduled across T20Is, ODIs and Tests. The tour has already generated significant excitement among cricket fans, with New Zealand Cricket witnessing record demand for its international season tickets. Within 48 hours of the Cricket Nation members’ pre-sale opening, 26,000 tickets were sold.
Limited-overs matches at Eden Park have attracted strong demand, while ticket sales for the 9,000-seat Hagley Oval in Christchurch have also gained momentum. The first two T20Is on October 22 and 24 are expected to sell out, while the second Test from November 27 to December 1 is also receiving an encouraging response. New Zealand Cricket Chief Marketing and Commercial Officer Glen Crichely said the excitement surrounding India’s tour has driven the record sales. General ticket sales will begin on September 7.
