Former India fielding coach T Dilip has heaped praise on Virat Kohli, highlighting the star batter’s extraordinary energy and commitment on the field. Dilip said Kohli never compromises on his fielding standards and carries the same intensity from training sessions into matches. He particularly praised Kohli’s sharp movements and diving efforts in positions such as cover and short mid-wicket, noting that his involvement does not stop even when the ball is away from him.

Dilip also highlighted Kohli’s influence on his teammates, saying several players have raised their own performance levels while fielding alongside him. He recalled India’s 2024 T20 World Cup triumph as one of the most memorable moments of his coaching career, particularly the atmosphere in the dressing room after the title win. Dilip joined the Indian team setup in November 2021 and recently completed his tenure as fielding coach.
