Following a successful start to their T20 World Cup 2026 campaign, the Indian Cricket Team was treated to a special dinner at Head Coach Gautam Gambhir’s residence in New Delhi on Sunday night. The Men in Blue, led by Suryakumar Yadav, secured a 29-run victory against the USA in their opening match at the Wankhede Stadium on February 7. After arriving in the national capital for their next fixture, the squad and support staff were hosted by Gambhir and his family. Reports indicate that BCCI Vice-President Rajeev Shukla also joined the team for the gathering. This is the second time Gambhir has hosted the national team at his home, having previously organized a similar dinner for the Test squad under Shubman Gill. Cricket experts believe these initiatives are part of Gambhir's approach to strengthen personal bonds and foster a sense of unity among the players during high-stakes tournaments. Team India is now preparing for their second group-stage match against Namibia, scheduled to take place at the Arun Jaitley Stadium on February 12.
