Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) Secretary Jeevan Reddy, along with former India cricketer Ambati Rayudu, announced a comprehensive roadmap to strengthen grassroots and district-level cricket in Telangana. District cricket academies and grounds will be developed in every erstwhile district headquarters, while four state-of-the-art Centres of Excellence will be established in Suryapet, Jagtial, Nagarkurnool, and Siddipet. The academies will feature BCCI-standard facilities, including residential accommodation, floodlights, practice grounds, dining facilities, and coaching infrastructure.
From the upcoming season, institutional teams will be divided into A, B, and C divisions to create more opportunities for young cricketers across Telangana. The new league structure is expected to benefit over 600 additional players. Eight district teams will compete in the C Division, giving greater representation to rural talent. HCA also plans to appoint a mentor to guide teams across all age groups, including women's cricket. The association welcomed the strong response to the ongoing T20 tournament and said efforts are underway to invite the Chief Minister and Governor for the final on July 12.
