The Indian women’s cricket team for the Asian Games, scheduled to begin on September 19 in Japan, has been officially announced. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the side as India aims to defend its title with a strong squad in the prestigious continental event.

The only change from India’s original 15-member Women’s T20 World Cup squad is the inclusion of G Kamalini in place of Yastika Bhatia as the backup wicketkeeper-batter. The selectors have retained the rest of the squad, maintaining continuity ahead of the multi-sport tournament.
