Team India all-rounder Hardik Pandya said, “A positive mindset is what brought me back onto the field. After my injury, I returned stronger and more determined. Injuries test us mentally, and staying strong has boosted my confidence. We must believe in ourselves first; if we don’t, how can anyone else trust us?”
After getting injured during the Asia Cup, Hardik made his return nearly two months later in the first T20 against South Africa in Cuttack. He shone with both bat and ball. With a powerful innings, he helped Team India score 175 runs in the allotted 20 overs, remaining unbeaten on 59* off 28 balls. He also bowled two overs, conceding 16 runs and taking a wicket. Team India won the match convincingly by 101 runs.
Talking about his personal motivation, Hardik said, “I want to enjoy every moment on the field. Playing in a way that entertains the audience is my true inspiration. My partner has also been a big reason behind my performance. Ever since she came into my life, many good things have happened,” referring to his girlfriend, Mahika Sharma.
Hardik also addressed a recent incident involving Mahika Sharma being photographed in an uncomfortable angle by a paparazzi in Bandra. “We need to respect personal privacy. Everyone has boundaries,” he expressed his frustration on Instagram.
