The coaches were reportedly seen discussing flaws in Vaibhav's batting, particularly his approach against short pitched deliveries, and advised him to improve his shot selection and game awareness.

Vaibhav, who became one of the youngest players to make his international debut, has struggled to meet expectations after replacing Sanju Samson in the playing XI. The 15 year old has scored only 14, 13, and 15 runs in his three innings so far. With England exploiting his weakness against short balls and India's batting unit failing to deliver consistently, the team has already lost the series with one match remaining.
