Hockey India has appointed former French hockey star Frederic Soyez as the new coach of the Indian junior hockey team. He will replace Sreejesh in the role. The 48-year-old represented France in 196 international matches between 1995 and 2010 and scored an impressive 195 goals during his playing career.
After retirement, Soyez built a strong reputation as a coach and worked with the national men’s teams of France and Spain. Hockey India President Dilip Tirkey welcomed him to the Hockey India family and expressed confidence that his experience would greatly benefit the Indian junior team.
