The England and Wales Cricket Board has reported a massive financial rise, largely driven by India’s cricket tour of England. According to financial reports for the year ending January 31, 2026, the ECB registered a turnover of nearly ₹5,266 crore, marking an increase of around ₹1,146 crore compared to the previous year. The India series once again highlighted the enormous commercial value and global influence of Indian cricket.
Reports suggest that the ECB is expected to face a significant financial setback in 2027, as England will not host a bilateral series against India national cricket team during that period. Matches involving India consistently attract huge television audiences, sponsorships, ticket sales, and global attention, making India one of the most financially influential forces in world cricket today.
