Egyptian Football Association has officially lodged a complaint with FIFA following Egypt's 3-2 defeat to Argentina in the FIFA World Cup. The federation alleges that several crucial refereeing decisions had a significant impact on the outcome of the match and has requested a formal investigation.
In its complaint, the Egyptian Football Association also urged FIFA to prevent the match referee from officiating any remaining fixtures in the tournament. The federation maintains that the decisions compromised the fairness of the contest, and attention is now on FIFA's response to the request.
