Indian cricket star Virat Kohli has been living in London with his wife, actress Anushka Sharma, and their children, Vamika and Akaay, for some time. Kohli reportedly returns to India mainly for Team India’s ODI matches and the IPL season. His decision to stay in London has sparked considerable discussion and trolling on social media. Dr. Sriram Nene has now opened up about the reason behind the family’s move.
Speaking in an interview with YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia, Nene said Kohli and Anushka found it difficult to lead a normal life in India because of their immense public attention. He said the couple wanted a peaceful life away from the spotlight and hoped to raise their children away from media attention. Kohli has retired from Tests and T20Is but continues to play ODIs and the IPL. Anushka has largely stayed away from acting since Zero in 2018, while her film Chakda ’Xpress has yet to be released.
