Indian wicketkeeper-batter Rishabh Pant has officially returned to Delhi Capitals as part of a high-profile swap deal between Delhi Capitals and Lucknow Super Giants. Under the agreement, Pant has parted ways with Lucknow, while star spinner Kuldeep Yadav has moved from Delhi Capitals to Lucknow Super Giants. Both franchises confirmed the development through official announcements on social media.

Pant's exit comes after a disappointing stint with Lucknow Super Giants, who endured a poor IPL season and finished at the bottom of the points table after winning only four of their 14 matches. Following the team's struggles, Pant stepped down as captain and has now agreed to a significant salary reduction as part of his return to Delhi Capitals, where he is set to earn ₹15 crore. Kuldeep Yadav will continue to receive his current salary of ₹13.5 crore. Notably, Lucknow had acquired Pant for ₹27 crore during the IPL mega auction, but his leadership and batting performances failed to deliver the expected results over the last two seasons.
