The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) will hold elections for its new executive body on December 5. IOA president P.T. Usha announced on Saturday that former Election Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Srivastava has been appointed as the returning officer to oversee the election process. The current executive body’s tenure will end on December 10, while the newly elected body will serve a four-year term from 2026 to 2030.
P.T. Usha stated that the elections would be conducted in accordance with the National Sports Governance Act. She also announced that elections to the IOA Athletics Commission would take place on December 3. The polls will determine the leadership of the association and its Athletics Commission for the upcoming term.
