CSK Will Appoint a New Head Coach- Ruturaj Gaikwad

Chennai Super Kings captain Ruturaj Gaikwad has confirmed that the franchise will appoint a new head coach following Stephen Fleming’s departure. However, he believes there is no need for the management to rush the process as the next IPL season and mini-auction are still some time away. Gaikwad also spoke about taking over the captaincy from MS Dhoni, admitting that he initially felt some hesitation because of the additional responsibilities. He said CSK’s five IPL titles and the expectations of their fans create pressure, but he intends to embrace the challenges and continue enjoying the game.

On his international comeback, Gaikwad said he is focused on maintaining consistency throughout the year and believes strong performances will eventually earn him another India call-up. He said he has no regrets about missing selection for the Afghanistan T20I series and will instead use the time away from the national team to sharpen his skills in domestic cricket. Gaikwad added that he wants to remain fully prepared so that he can make the most of the opportunity whenever it comes.
