The Hyderabad Cricket Association (HCA) is preparing a comprehensive roadmap to boost cricket development across all 33 districts of Telangana. The plan aims to identify sporting talent beyond the twin cities and provide young cricketers with better facilities and opportunities. HCA District Cricket Infrastructure Development Committee chairman T. Sesh Narayan revealed the details while addressing district cricket association secretaries at Uppal Stadium.
He said the process of granting HCA membership to the newly formed districts after the creation of Telangana may take some time. Meanwhile, the association plans to establish offices in all districts, appoint support and ground staff, and arrange accommodation for former cricketers conducting workshops for youngsters. District representatives have been asked to identify suitable grounds and office spaces within the next two weeks. HCA also plans to establish zonal academies and organise zonal level T10 tournaments to provide young players with another platform to showcase their talent.
