Chanu, Lovlina Named India’s Flag Bearers

The Indian Olympic Association (IOA) has announced that weightlifter Mirabai Chanu and boxer Lovlina Borgohain will be the flag bearers for India at the opening ceremony of the Commonwealth Games. The announcement was made on Saturday, with both Olympic medalists set to lead the Indian contingent during the grand opening event.

The Commonwealth Games opening ceremony will be held in Glasgow on the 23rd of this month. IOA President P.T. Usha congratulated the Indian athletes participating in the event and extended her best wishes to the entire team for a successful campaign.
