India national cricket team will be desperate to register their first victory of the England tour when they face England cricket team in the fourth T20 at Bristol on Thursday. Trailing 0-2 in the series after also losing the T20 series against Ireland, India must win to keep the series alive and avoid another disappointing result. Team selection, inconsistent batting, and ineffective bowling have drawn criticism, placing additional pressure on captain Shreyas Iyer and head coach Gautam Gambhir.
The selection debate has intensified after 15-year-old Vaibhav Suryavanshi replaced Sanju Samson but failed to make a significant impact. Gambhir has not ruled out Samson's return, while India's batting order and bowling combination could also see changes. The spin department has struggled throughout the series, with Varun Chakravarthy unable to make an impact. However, India will draw confidence from their impressive record in Bristol, having won all four completed T20 internationals played at the venue.
